A warm welcome awaits you at your local Council Meetings in Redruth! All Planning applications within the parish of Redruth are currently considered by the Full Council. The Town Council is not the planning authority (that is Cornwall Council) but is a 'statutory consultee' and therefore has to be consulted on planning issues. Those applications considered to be contentious may be visited by a Member of the Council to ascertain the views of local residents and neighbours. A verbal report will be made at the next Full Council Meeting, where a recommendation will be made and voted upon. All recommendations are submitted to Cornwall Council as the Town Council's consultation response. Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings.
