Planning

All Planning applications within the parish of Redruth are currently considered by the Full Council. The Town Council is not the planning authority (that is Cornwall Council) but is a 'statutory consultee' and therefore has to be consulted on planning issues. Those applications considered to be contentious may be visited by a Member of the Council to ascertain the views of local residents and neighbours. A verbal report will be made at the next Full Council Meeting, where a recommendation will be made and voted upon. All recommendations are submitted to Cornwall Council as the Town Council's consultation response. Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings.
