FACILITIES TECHNICIAN (FULL-TIME)

We are currently looking for a full-time Facilities Technician to join our team.

Entry point for the role for non-certified starters is £23,893 pa, (pay award pending) rising to £24,702pa on attainment of the full qualifications and certifications required.

The successful applicant will work within a friendly team, managed by our Facilities Manager.

Duties include:

· A range of horticulture maintenance activities, such as grass cutting and strimming, hedge cutting, planting, pruning, weeding and routine/reactive tree inspections

· Maintenance of Redruth’s rights of way network, including footpaths and bridleways

· Routine safety inspections of outside play areas and general maintenance of play equipment, safety surfacing and surrounding areas

· Upkeep, improvement and repair of the Council’s properties, including implementation of maintenance schedules and reporting of issues requiring remedial action by specialist contractors

· Assisting with facility preparation and traffic management related to events organised by the Town Council

· Removal of litter and other debris from land owned or maintained by the Town Council and reporting issues of environmental antisocial behaviour within the parish

· Acting as “first-responders” to assist in reactive basic maintenance and cleaning of town areas, alongside authorised owners/contractors, as directed by the Facilities Manager

· Safety checks and maintenance of equipment, including Council vehicles

· Ensuring that health & safety regulations are always adhered to, including acting as a responsible key holder and holding an appropriate first aid at work qualification
